Sultan Iskandar Muda is one of the most important person in Acehnese history. During his sultanate he had ever brought the Kingdom of Aceh into the biggest five of the biggest Islamic countries in the world in the 16th century. At that time the Kingdom of Aceh was very popular and crowded because there was a direct trading to all over the world.
He was very popular because his honesty, there is a proverb says:
"Adat bak Po Temeuruhoom, Hukom bak Syiah Kuala"
the Culture is handled by Po Teumeuruhom while the law is handled by Syiah Kuala.
